• Tutoring district middle and high school students
• Texas Scholars program
• Substitute-For-A-Day programs
• Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP).

Maria Benavides, one of AMEC Paragon’s mentoring coordinators, as well as several other AMEC Paragon employees were in attendance to accept the honor on behalf of the company.

“We would like to thank all of our employees for their continuous dedication to our community and improving the lives of others,“ said Simon Naylor, president of AMEC Paragon.

According to SBISD’s Linda Buchman, Assistant Administrator, Partnerships and Volunteer Programs, Paragon’s multifaceted efforts serve as an example of corporate volunteerism that makes it easier for the district to solicit support from other companies.

“We encourage other corporations to join with AMEC Paragon in supporting employees who wish to volunteer with a local school district or organization,” said Naylor. “It is truly a rewarding experience and look forward to continuing our commitment to sustainability within our local communities.”
