AMEC Paragon's capabilities for onshore
and marine pipeline projects include:
-
Project management
-
Database-driven pipeline mapping and
geographic information system (GIS) applications
-
Environmental and permitting support
-
Modeling and flow assurance
-
Corrosion detection and control
-
Pipeline integrity management
-
Operations and maintenance
-
Design of associated pumping, metering,
and compression facilities

 |
With Enroute, AMEC Paragon's proprietary, database-driven
automated work process for pipeline design,
- All deliverables are generated from a single database
- Data is always accessible both locally and remotely
(via the Web)
- Alignment sheets are produced automatically
- Procurement and expediting databases are populated
automatically
- Project data is shared from a centralized repository
in real time across all applications - CAD, GIS, PDA,
Web
- When a change is made in the database, it is "red-flagged"
on all affected documents
- The latest revision of each engineering deliverable
is available via a Web-enabled electronic document management
system, with older versions also available for historical
tracking
- All documents are searchable and cross-referenced by
descriptive "metadata" such as purchase order
number, tag number, line number, etc.
- All forms of data are incorporated, including government
datasets, commercial datasets, land ownership records,
satellite imagery, aerial photography, digital elevation
models, laser scan data, and survey data
|
The end result:
- Reduced design and mapping time
- Single-point data entry for all associated deliverables,
reducing human error and rework
- Quick evaluation of a wide array of "what-if"
scenarios to arrive at best route option
- Accommodation of route adjustments without requiring
engineering rework and associated delays
- Clear documentation of route selection process and alternative
analysis
- Easy transfer of design data to operations databases
for ongoing use
